Pyrolysis Syngas & Hydrogen Flexibility
Standard gas engines often struggle with fluctuating calorific values and elevated hydrogen content found in synthetic gases. ENERGIN® engines are purpose-built with advanced lean-burn combustion and specialized engine control units (ECU) capable of reliably processing pyrolysis syngas, wood gas, landfill gas, and hydrogen-rich blends.
This fuel flexibility ensures stable operation and maximum power output even during dynamic variations in feedstock composition (such as mixed plastics or tires).
Synergy with Pyrolysis Systems
Closed-Loop Facility Self-Sufficiency
In thermochemical depolymerization units (such as our continuous GARP systems), high-energy synthesis gas is produced as a primary byproduct alongside pyrolysis oil and carbon black. Integrating an ENERGIN® CHP unit converts this syngas directly into electricity and high-temperature thermal energy.
The generated electricity directly powers the electric heating of the pyrolysis retort, making the entire plant fully self-sufficient with zero external energy reliance, while surplus power is exported to the grid.
