Enertec Gas Engines

Enertec Engine Technology

A robust and efficient solution for energy generation from pyrolysis gas

We are proud partners and official dealers for Schmitt Enertec gas engines. These high-performance and reliable Combined Heat and Power units represent a highly cost-effective alternative and a great addition to our turbine portfolio for processing synthesis gases. While they offer a significantly lower initial investment compared to our Aurelia gas turbines, it is important to note that they require more frequent maintenance intervals. They are specifically designed and calibrated for seamless and highly efficient cooperation with our universal mobile pyrolysis unit, GARP 1225.

Enertec gas engines are designed for the future of decentralized energy. They perfectly utilize the consistently clean and high-quality synthesis gas produced by our GARP 1225 units, transforming this premium fuel into a steady and reliable supply of electricity and heat.

Synergy with the GARP 1225 Unit

GARP + Enertec container

Enertec engines can efficiently burn the synthesis gas produced by our GARP 1225 pyrolysis unit. This combination creates a perfect closed loop of the circular economy. Waste such as plastics and tires is first converted into an energy-rich gas, which is then fed directly into the Enertec engines. The engines reliably generate electrical and thermal energy, which can be used to power the pyrolysis process itself or distributed to an external grid.

Power Ranges and Models

Power Ranges

We supply Schmitt Enertec CHP units in various power ranges to precisely match the syngas production of your specific GARP unit installation. They maintain a leading market position thanks to their high electrical and thermal efficiency and flexibility during load changes.

Thanks to an advanced control system, they can smoothly react to changes in syngas quality and maintain stable, continuous output 24/7, which is crucial for waste processing operations.

Flexible and Robust Design

Unlike standard solutions, Enertec reciprocating gas engines offer exceptional mechanical resistance to fluctuations in fuel quality and chemical composition. The modular structure allows for easy modifications to meet diverse operational requirements, ensuring your energy production remains stable even if the composition of the pyrolysis input material changes.

The cogeneration process itself is well known. However, the technologies that allow engines to smoothly and safely process raw pyrolysis syngas from waste require specific modifications to the intake, timing, and more durable materials, all of which Enertec engines fulfill flawlessly.

Containerized Plug and Play Solution

Similar to our GARP units, Enertec engines can be delivered as a fully containerized solution. This maximizes local flexibility, simplifies logistics, and allows for immediate on-site deployment without the need for complex construction work.
