Aurelia Gas Turbine

Aurelia® Turbine Technology

The Most Efficient Small Gas Turbines in the World

We are proud to offer the most efficient small gas turbines in the world, manufactured by Aurelia Turbines. These advanced power generation units are changing the game for small and medium-sized industrial processes, particularly in the waste-to-energy and pyrolysis sectors. By utilizing a revolutionary twin-spool, intercooled and recuperated (IRG2) cycle, Aurelia turbines achieve efficiency levels previously thought impossible for this size class.

Designed for the future of decentralized energy, Aurelia’s unique combustion process is engineered to master a wide variety of fuels—from standard natural gas to the most challenging pyrolysis oils, syngas, hydrogen, and biogas. This makes them the perfect partner for our circular energy solutions.

Aurelia® A400

The Aurelia™ A400 is the flagship model, delivering 400 kWe of continuous power with an electrical efficiency greater than 40%. Unlike ordinary microturbines, the A400 uses a two-stage compression process with an intercooler, significantly boosting performance.

Because it utilizes Active Magnetic Bearings (AMB), the A400 is entirely oil-free. There is no friction, no wear, and zero vibration. For our clients, this means extended maintenance intervals and a turbine that can handle the rigorous demands of 24/7 industrial operation without the risk of oil contamination.

Aurelia® A800

For operations requiring higher output, we present the Aurelia™ A800. This unit builds on the proven core technology of the A400 but scales the capacity to 800 kWe. It retains the industry-leading electrical efficiency and fuel flexibility of its smaller sibling but offers a high-density power solution for larger industrial sites and multi-building facilities.

The A800 is designed as a modular package, allowing for a flexible footprint that can be easily integrated into existing plant layouts. It is the ideal solution for scaling up your energy production without compromising on efficiency or reliability.

Adaptive and Modular Design

Our gas turbines are engineered for flexibility, operating efficiently with multiple fuel types, including hydrogen blends and synthetic gases. Their modular structure allows for seamless adjustments to meet diverse operational requirements, ensuring your energy production remains stable even if your feedstock varies.

The process itself is well-known & demonstrated. However, the technologies that enable this process to be used in a compact 400-800 kW package are new. Aurelia has extensive intellectual property rights on these technologies.

Aurelia® Integrator Service (iA400 / iA800)

We also support the Integrator Model. The Aurelia® iA400 and iA800 are designed for maximum local flexibility. Aurelia supplies the core turbine components directly to integrators, who then assemble the turbines using regional suppliers for the enclosure and balance of plant. This streamlined approach enables faster delivery and simplified logistics for clients worldwide.
